The Zentrallabor Siegerland, Braun & Co. is one of the leading private laboratories in the field of destructive materials testing. For the mechanical-technological testing department, Zentrallabor Siegerland already successfully uses testing technology from Hegewald & Peschke. Now another universal testing machine has been ordered from Hegewald & Peschke.
The former testing machine inspekt 250 kN will be used for metal tensile tests under room temperature in the future. The recently acquired testing system will be used for metal tensile tests under high as well as low temperature. For this purpose it includes a universal testing machine inspekt 250 kN with three furnaces for up to 1000°C, as well as a low temperature testing unit.
For the realization of different tensile tests a changing device is used. This serves to integrate the different testing equipment into the test room. The changing device reduces the changeover times to a minimum when implementing different testing tasks on the machine. The accessory equipment can be moved into the test area easily, safely and smoothly. Unused devices are parked in a parking position behind the testing machine.
This arrangement also allows the high-temperature furnaces to be heated up and cooled down outside the test room, so that the test room only needs to be occupied for purely test execution. The test sequence is thus not interrupted and waiting times are significantly reduced, so that up to 30 hot tensile tests can be carried out in one shift. This ensures more efficient use of the universal testing machine in the daily workflow.
